Halloween!

This is what happens when the girls go with their DAD!!! Taya is so proud of her candy.

Walker stayed home to hand out candy with mom! We had a total of 7 trick or treaters.

Ry was a fairy, and Taya Princess Sleeping Beauty.

The kids went to a Halloween party at Ruegers and Briggs house. They had a lot of fun making ghosts and decorating cookies. Thanks Becky for the party.

Our Newest Edition...SHHH!

So Eric and the girls long awaited puppy is finally here! He did arrive a few months before planned. I was kinda hopeing that it would be after we moved in the spring, but when do things always go as planned. Mark and Rach took in Bear for us two years ago and ever since then Ry and Taya have talked about these puppies. They don't actually know that they are finally here. So don't tell!!! What a way to top off a Christmas in Hawaii then coming home to a cute puppy.

Eric has picked the Male puppy, and here he is. Sooo cute I hope I still feel that way when he is peeing on my floor, needing to go for walks in -40 weather, and all the other joys a puppy will bring. (I am not a dog person.) I must not of clarified this before I married Eric. The girls were discussing names for the dog the other day (not knowing that he is going to become a reality soon) Rylee decided that she would pick the last name and Taya the first. Rylee chose Nelson for the last, which is very appropriate. Taya was not in agreeance with Nelson, but decided that Lassa would be the first. After arguing for a few minutes they decided that instead the name would be Dora Explora!!! I laughed and said sure just run that by your Dad. I was telling Eric about the conversation he then said you know that the dog is a boy. So good luck with that hun!!!
Here is a picture of the belly up!!!

We had a busy couple of weeks! It as fun to have Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Christie come out for a visit. Kent, Meagan, and Jayden even came down for Thanksgiving dinner. I am currently serving in the YW's in our ward and also working on my YW recongintion award again, so I have decided to learn how to sew. (I know mom you tried to teach me homemaking skills while I was at home but I wasn't interested). I completed my first project thanks to a couple of friends. I will be starting a quilting class on Tuesday and I am super excited. I hope that it will go okay!

Walker is almost thirteen months and has started walking. It is really fun to watch he learn as he becomes more confident. He is so proud of himself and he has his own cheerleading squad. (Ry and Taya).

As the colder weather approaches we are counting down the days until christmas. We are breaking tradition this Christmas and going to Hawaii. The girls have been saving spare change for months and there piggy bank is almost full. I am not looking forward to the plane ride with a 15month old, but I am sure the beach will be worth it. We are excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Schaffer, Aunt Leah, Aunt Ash and Ryker.

And thanks to Aunt Rach and Uncle Mark when we get home there will be two puppies ready to come home with us!!! (SHHH the girls don't know). They think we are getting them in the spring when Eric graduates. Thanks guys for the early arrivals!!! (LOL)

Walker's 1st Birthday!!!

Walker loved his ice cream cake!!! 1 week earlier I was making cupcakes for yw's so I gave walker one and he wouldn't even look at it. Here is a few pictures of him enjoying his cake. He loves ICE CREAM (just like his mom).

First's...

This was taken when he was 11 months. He was just starting to stand up around furniture. He thinks he is such a big boy.
Rylee's 1st day of School. She was so excited to start again. Taya a little sad to see her go, but Taya and I get to spend every afternoon together so it is a lot of fun. The girls are in gymnastics this year and Rylee has been taking piano lessons, which she loves. She is catching on really quick.
Walker practicing his walking. Rylee spends most of her day playing with him. She is such a little mom. She usually sets him up, then when he runs into something or falls down he just turns and yells at her. She then rushes over to help him get set up ready to go again.

THE END IS IN SIGHT!

Summer flew by and Eric has already been back in classes for two days. So the countdown is on only 8 more months. We are looking forward to moving closer to home. Eric promised the girls two years ago that when he graduates they could each get a dog. They have faith that their Dad will pull through for them. Rylee starts her second year of Kindergarden next week, and she is really excited that this year she gets to ride the bus. Both girls start Ballet, and Rylee is starting piano. My maternity leave ended at the beginning of August so I have been picking up shifts on Peds and in the NICU. This year will keep us really busy, so I am sure it will go by fast. We are looking forward to hopefully seeing family come our way at Thanksgiving! And of course the beach at Christmas. Walker still hasn't hit any real big milestones. He is extremely grouchy thanks to the four teeth he has coming in a once. He started to pull him self up on things, but prefers Rylee to walk him around. He just learned how to dance it is fun to watch and laugh. I took the girls and him to get a hair cut the other day. He screamed through the entire thing, I felt bad for the hairdresser. It was worth it, he is starting to look like a little toddler and is so handsome. Pictures to come soon.

Camping at Waskesiu Lake

Yes I went camping! We camped over night at Waskesiu Lake in the PA National Park. The girls thought it was great. I thought it was a lot of work, but we did have a fun time. Thanks Becky and Armes for the invite. Becky was a good sport seeing that she was 8 mos. pregnant, and the second day it was 37 degrees. Walker and I slept in the back of the van after playing musical beds. I was happy that I had the idea of getting the closest camp site to the bathroom. (between me and four little bladders we were making the short walk a lot) They are drinking hot choc. that Eric made them. We roasted hot dogs for supper (the classic camping meal) and for dessert smores. We forgot our tarp so we shared the Perrett's! We were very close almost like we were in the same room with a just sheet between us. Good thing we are good friends.
The kids thought it was funny to make faces at Eric video taping them. They always have so much fun when they are together. Ry and Rue seem to have this bond from birth. They are 10 days apart, and when Rylee was ten months old Becky baby sat her for me when I went back to work. Taya and Briggs are three weeks apart. We were actually due on the same day, but I had Taya 2 weeks early and Briggs was a week over due.

Waskesiu Lake! The kids had fun on the beach and playing in the water. Rylee could walk probably half way out with her head above water.
Walker wouldn't look at the camera, he played in the sand and water for probably an hour. A true boy.

Annual Fishing Trip with Dad & Grandpa.

Rylee and Taya fishing! Taya got a new rod for her birthday from Rylee in preparation for this trip. The lake they are at is Alderson (not sure on spelling), and Rylee rode her own horse (velvet), Taya rode with Eric. They even were caught in a lightning storm and had to wait it out under a big tree. Rylee is so proud of that story, she was even telling her friend Alivia today.
This was Taya's first year. She woke up at 4:30 am and was sooo excited! Being able to go with Dad meant that he thought she was a big girl. These are the horses! They both have a love for horses, which comes from there Dad. Rylee can't wait till she gets her own hat and boots like Bailey. She also keeps telling everyone that her, Taya and Eric are riding in the Cardston parade next year.

How Summer Flies By...

We spent most of our summer in the car! They were not always this good so we had to take a picture. Walker set the record on one of our trips home by only sleeping for a 1/2 hr. These are the moments most parents treasure while travelling.
Rylee and Taya went to Calaway Park with Eric and Grandma & Grandpa Nelson. They had so much fun. The girls take after Eric and love rides!!! I on the other had hand hate them; Walker and I spent the day at the mall. Not sure what Grandpa is looking at!!!!
Walker has no hope having two older sister's, but he thought that these were great! He had them on for quite a while.
Taya didn't enjoy this ride that much! Eric was proud of her from even wanting to go on it. Rylee loved it!
The girls had so much fun! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for coming.

More Summer...

They had so much fun on the rides! Taya was so proud that she rode the Merry-go-round all by herself!
Ry, Taya, and 5 classmates cramped into the ferris wheel cage. All I could here was giggles all the way around. Taya recieved a package in the mail. She was so happy that her mom didn't know that when you use the Best offer on ebay that if the seller accepts it is a done deal. Eric was happy that my lesson only cost me $18 plus shipping.

Rylee Graduated from Kindergarden on Wed. she was really excited. She loves school and was what you would call the teacher's pet. She is excited to attend Kindergarden for the second time in the fall (because we will be moving next year and the cut off start dates are in Jan in Sask.) and this year she gets to ride the bus.
I liked this picture! Walker doesn't like trying new textures. He is trying Watermelon for the first time, and as you can see he is really enjoying it.

Summer is here!!!

This is where Walker spends most of his time watching the girls play. I love summer so much! The play outside all day long. Grandma notice the Dora knee pads she insisted on wearing them.
I love this picture!!!
We finally had the neighbor girls over to play! The girls were so excited to finally have friends over. They dressed up like princesses and then wanted their picture taken. They had a great time.
This is the best swing ever! Rylee's last day of school we spend the day at kinsmen it was a lot of fun. Taya was so happy that she got to come. It was a full day of just the girls. We went swimming, had a picnic, played at the park. Then in the afternoon went on the rides at Kinsmen
